Welcome
Welcome to Hughes Karate-do. We are a traditional Okinawan karate dojo located in
Chandler, Arizona and have been providing high quality martial arts training to
our community for 30 years.
We are proud to be a member in good standing of the Shorin Ryu Shorinkan organization
under the leadership of Grandmaster Hanshi Shugoro Nakazato. We believe that the traditional
karate of Okinawa provides a rich, comprehensive and effective program for all serious
practitioners of the martial arts. We provide training for adults and children in
all aspects of Okinawan karate including traditional weapons such as the bo, kama,
and nunchaku.

Women's Self-defense Clinic
Hughes Karate-do will be hosting a self-defense clinic for women on Saturday,
August 2, 2007. For more information please visit this page. The class will be held from
1 to 4 pm and costs $20.00 if you pre-register, or $25.00 if you just show up at
the door. Please
